Summary

Metal-detecting between 1982 and 2018 recovered Middle Saxon and medieval coins, and a medieval Boy Bishop token; and Early Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include an Early Saxon harness mount; an Early/Middle Saxon buckle and brooch; a Middle/Late Saxon brooch; a medieval gold gem set finger ring; medieval/post-medieval purse fragments and a scabbard chape; and a post-medieval buckle.

Medieval gold gem set finger ring. Double bezel in the form of two oval settings. One bears a ruby or garnet, the other a turquoise. This object was submitted as possible Treaure (Ref: 2018 T861).

Medieval/post-medieval purse fragments and a sword scabbard chape.
