Summary
In 1981 a medieval lead seal matrix was found on land opposite Sainsbury's. This example dated to the 13th century and had a double cross motif with each line ending in a circle.

1981. Opposite Sainsbury's.
Lead seal, 13th century. Circular with loop for suspension at edge. Legend illegible. Device: a double cross motif, each line ending in circle.
