Remains of defensive position, World War Two.
Noted in December 1979 as tilted over on beach. Now below high tide mark. Only a pile of concrete slabs remain.

One of a line of four concrete installations (with NHER 15558, 18069 and 15870), built into sea defence bank NHER 26783 (S1).

Movement of the river channel has destroyed part of the sea bank (NHER 26783) at this point causing the damage noted above.
