NHER 18072 (Monument record) - World War Two pillbox

Pill box.
Now flooded in new RSPB lagoon. Only concrete entrance is visible. Used as base for artificial island with hide.

Assessment of land at RSPB Titchwell.
A map of 1943, annotated to show World War Two debris, marks a pill box at this location. As the position of NHER 18072 was incorrect at the time this work took place the pillbox shown on the map was wrongly listed as a new site (Site 12).
This structure was not visible during the walkover survey and therefore possible overgrown.
