30 April 1982.
On surface of unmade Peddars Way Path (which does not follow the Way (NHER 1289) but the edge of the wood) by projecting arm of wood. Probably either thrown up in digging fence post hole, or off ploughed field in Battle Area to west.
Rim sherd of 4th century Nene Valley mortarium.
