Summary

This was the site of a common edge settlement from the early medieval to the late medieval periods. Fieldwalking has recovered prehistoric flints, and medieval and post medieval pottery and other finds.

Found in band up to 50m wide along west edge field.
Several concentrations.
Flints.
Medieval to post medieval sherds and objects.

(S1) records this site as Site 37.
Settlement may have begun on this site during the early medieval period. The majority of the pottery evidence dates to the medieval period, and settlement seems to have declined rapidly from the late medieval period.
