29 September 1981. Surface finds in fieldwalking.
Context 2 at southeast corner field.
6 medieval unglazed.
1 late medieval glazed.
1 post medieval glazed.
Information from Hales Survey (their site 39).
Identified by A. Rogerson (NAU) May 1982.
E. Rose (NAU) 4 June 1982.

Context 2. Site extended over remainder of field to east (2 on OS).
Average scatter, 'few medieval rims near north margin'.
Sandier soil to west with 'one Roman fragment' on plan but not thought to be Roman by A. Rogerson (NAU).
Finds - 15 glazed medieval.
1 medieval unglazed.
1 probable glazed red earthenware.
1 flowerpot.
1 flint flake.
1 lava quern.
1 black glazed stoneware with moulded leaf decoration.
1 Frechen? stoneware with applied decoration.
