Map

August 1982. Visit.
Ivytodd Farm on Ordnance Survey, but this name has been exchanged with another farm.
Clay lump, of remarkably large size for this construction especially in this area.
On plinth of red brick apparently 18th century. Original window slits framed with wooden boards. Only survive now where 19th century additions have fossilized them. Roof tie beam has graffiti 'DH 1897' and a collarbeam 'JMNES New Made 1818' according to owner. The latter date in fact is more likely to have been intended as 1898 from the type of construction, and refers to the reroofing. East wall exterior recently weather-boarded, formerly tarred.
Excellent condition. Farmhouse appears to be 18th century clad and extended late 19th century.
E. Rose (NAU), 19 August 1982.
