NAU air photograph shows large rectangular soilmark and small circular marks to northwest of pond on 6 inch Ordnance Survey map.

1982.
Seen on ground by informant who described rectangle as sunken with 'thick edges like buried walls' and part overlain by a mound. Plan in file.

(S1), 1797 shows rectangle of buildings about here called Echo Pits.
(S2) shows three long buildings aligned east-to-west from road. Brickyard? Rectangle the yard, circular marks puddling pits, pond the clay pit?
