Summary

Aerial photography from 1980 and 1996 recorded the cropmarks of a ring ditch with a central feature. This may be the mark of a post mill which may have been the predecessor of Kings Mill on site NHER 8514. A linear feature and two sides of a rectilinear enclosure were also recorded.

One ring ditch with central (indistinct) feature.
Possible barrow mound and subsequent re-use as mill mound.
Site of Mill Cottage adjacent to cropmark.

Perhaps site of post mill predecessor of Kings Mill on site NHER 8514 in South Walsham Publich House which gave its name to Mill Cottage.

Cropmark of ring ditch previously recorded still visible.
In addition to this further cropmarks can be seen - a linear feature and two sides of a rectilinear enclosure.
It is possible that the southwest side of the enclosure and the linear feature form a trackway.
