In 1590 this area known as Wellgate Way.
On (S1), main entrance to Wells Gate of Holkham Park (gate later moved North).
Information from NCM card.
2000. Field Observation and Desk-based Assessment.
Site visited and considered as part of archaeological assessment of Holkham Estate.
Maintained as minor track and access.
