August 1982. Found while clearing garden. In back garden of new bungalow belonging to finder. 100m west of Mattishall Burgh church.
Rim sherd of large grey ware bowl of Late Saxon/early medieval type.
Possibly Grimston ware.
Identified by A. Rogerson (NAU).
