Summary

Metal detecting in February 1982 recovered a medieval gilt bronze finger ring set with stone (garnet?) and a Henry VI(?) groat.

February 1982. Found with metal detector 183m (200yds) southeast of St Mary Magdalen's Church.
A gilt bronze finger ring set with stone (garnet?), possibly of 13th century date and a Henry VI(?) groat were recovered. See slide (S1) made by NCM.
Identified by A. Gregory (NAU) and S. Margeson (NCM) March 1982.
