Full Description
Tall, half-octagonal; rises above sunken track. Pantile roof on wooden posts supported on flint wall. Bad condition.
Information from Norfolk Industrial Archaeology Society.
E. Rose (NAU) 18 October 1982.
Only flint base survives - information from Norfolk County Council.
E. Rose (NAU) 18 February 1983.
All now destroyed. Apparently it fell away from wall of red brick barn above. North wall of this barn, near to site of animal engine house, has large iron wheel for belt drive. Did this connect with the animal engine house?
Photograph in file.
Visit by E. Rose (NAU) 4 September 1985.

Barn itself listed in 1999 as good example of field barn and stores by Wyatt, dated 1803, altered 1871. Compiler was clearly ignorant of the former existance of the animal engine house and refers to its site as 'former shelter sheds'.
E. Rose (NLA) 9 December 1999.
