Summary
In 1982 a large rim and body sherd of a Roman mortarium, in a soft chalky cream-white fabric with black ironstone trituration grits, was recovered from a rabbit scrape in this area.

Full Description
January 1982. Found in rabbit scrape.
Large rim and body sherd of mortarium in soft chalky cream-white fabric with black ironstone trituration grits.
Form as Gillam 243.
Late 1st to 2nd century. Possibly Nene Valley ware?
