Summary

In 1982 a number of soilmarks were visible on this field. These were interpreted as representing the remains of a medieval field system or trackway. Prior to this an Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged flint arrowhead was recovered from this area.

1982. Soilmarks.
Soilmarks of strip field system with droveway.
Visited on ground 29 October 1982.
Not visible on surface and no pottery scatter. Interpreted as failed medieval field system. Modern fields bear no similarity and Ordnance Survey records area as Broad Fen. System seems to be on slightly rising silt. To south lower and no obvious marks.

'About 20 years ago' in February 1983. Found close to edge of a dyke around 565 114 - probably from dredgings.
Arrowhead found. Description indicates barbed and tanged.
Object donated to Wisbech Museum by a third party.
