5 January 1983. On top and slightly to north of large roddon. Under rapeseed crop and no soil discolouration apparent.
Area about 30m northwest to southeast x 40m northeast to southwest. Precise limits could not be ascertained because of crop. Height of about 1.8m (6ft) OD.
Scatter of Roman pottery.
Some briquetage?
