Full Description
Wreck.
Marked on Admiralty chart 1957 as at 53 degrees 06' north, 1 degree 18' east.
E. Rose (NAU), 28 January 1983.
Dutch SS Westland, sunk by submarine 25 May 1917.
Wreck located 1940.
1972: both ends silted, centre rises to confused hump.
Stern on seabed, bow rises 1.8m (6 feet) above.
General height 4.6m (15 feet), girders 6.4m (21 feet).
Unlikely to collapse further in near future though top girder weak.
No scour.
