Full Description
27 July 1978. Positive cropmarks.
Sub-rectangular apparent ditched enclosure reminiscent of that of an ovoid barrow quarry ditch.
This mark is suspect as it is aligned with the cultivation marks within the standing cereal crop.
See (S1).
D. Edwards (NAU), 7 February 1983.
October 2007. Geophysical Survey.
A geophysical survey carried out in an area to be developed (NHER 50596) did not reveal any further evidence of an enclosure in this area. However, the survey also recorded a concentration of discrete positive anomalies in this area which may represent pits of archaeological origin.
Information from (S2).
H. Hamilton (NLA), 18 February 2008.
