Summary

A rare circular pillbox of about 1940, standing in the corner of a bomb dump at RAF Coltishall. It still has the remains of its iron frame and wires on top that were the framework of its camouflage.

Southeast corner of Coltishall airfield.
Pill box.
Circular, concrete, on concrete high base.
Iron frame with wire netting overgrown by creeper still remains on top as camouflage.
This confirms that circular pill boxes are not all World War One in date. First noted by Pillbox Survey.
