Summary

Fenland fieldwalking here in 1983 recovered a scatter of Roman pottery and briquetage from the top of a roddon. No date was assigned to this extinct watercourse.

16 February 1983. On side of roddon spreading over top.
Scatter of Roman pottery, not particularly dense but impossible to gauge precisely because vegetation has regenerated. Some briquetage. 130m x 50m west-to-east at 2.1m (7ft) OD.
Soil discolouration? - cannot be detected because of vegetation.
