Full Description
28 March 1983. Fenland Project fieldwalking.
Field well weathered but some weed regeneration especially around context 2.
Context 1: Odd sherds medieval pot scattered over field, more in east half. Well weathered with little weed cover. WMM AF (S1).
Context 2 at 5995 1152: small concentration medieval pot, no more than 30m west-east x 20m north-south. Accompanied by large amounts more modern debris across field. No obvious soil discolouration and sherds not abundant. On top of medium roddon and probably extends into next field which is under pasture. 7ft (2.1m) OD.
