Summary

Fieldwalking here in 1982-83 and 1986 recovered sherds of Late Saxon and medieval pottery and noted the possible presence of a medieval moat and saltern mound. Subsequent archaeological observations recorded a medieval pit, the remains of a post medieval well and evidence for a medieval watercourse. Metal detecting on site has retrieved medieval and post medieval metalwork items.
