Summary

This building has a 19th-century façade, but the timber-framed gable and midwall beam may suggest a 16th-century core. The west wall was coated in modern brick when the road access was cut.

East gable wall, just visible in gap between buildings. Has timber framing with wattle and daub infill. Massive arched braces support wallplate of gable. Large midwall beam also visible. Actual gable is of 19th-century brickwork with light timber framing. 19th-century street façade to north over modern shop. West wall coated in modern brick when access road cut. Date of timber framing perhaps early 16th century but more detailed access is required.
