'In Saham Wood' (wood centred TF 920043).
'Remains of German fighter scattered about'.
Information from farmworker who said he had collected fragments.

In fact an American bomber! B-17 Fortress crashed 11 July 1944 after breaking up in mid-air.

However detailed survey of wood by the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum in Autumn 1983 failed to find any wreckage.
