Summary

This is the site of a post medieval brickworks which specialised in the production of chimney pots. It was presumably founded after 1838 as it was not on the first edition 1in Ordnance Survey map.

The site of the brickworks (see above) is recorded on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6" map (S2). The pits associated with the brickworks (recorded on S2) appear to have been backfilled on visualised lidar data from a survey flown in 2022 (S3).
