Full Description
Hall house, still retaining screens. Inserted upper floor.
Parlour block rebuilt mid 17th century with stack more in hall than parlour. Wallpaintings to make studs look like columns.
See (S1) in file.
E. Rose (NLA), 23 December 1994.
July 1997.
Further inspection revealed that screen is probably not original to house yet does stand on site of an original screen. Much of present upper floor assembled from reused timbers in 17th century - do these come from this house or elsewhere?
See further report (S2) in file.
E. Rose (NLA), 23 July 1997.
October 2004. Building Survey.
Examination of No 60a.
See report (S3) for further details.

December 2004. Building Survey.
Examination of No 60a.
15th century possible manor house with open hall and service end. The floors and stack were inserted with other alterations in the mid-16th century. The parlour block was added in the first half of the 17th century, which is now in separate ownership (see above). The roof was renewed in the 18th century.
See report (S4).
S. Howard (HES), 29 October 2010.
June 2006. Building Survey.
Examination of No 60.
A timber-framed parlour, which was added to or rebuilt on an earlier house. The roof height, chamfer stops, long jowls on the strey posts, ovolo mullion windows and the use of a chimney bay with back to back fireplace suggests a mid-seventeenth century date. 60a Norwich Road contains the hall and the service bays.
See (S5) for further details,
H. White, (NLA), 19 October 2009.
