Summary

This is the site of a 17th century timber framed blacksmith's house and an attached 19th century forge. The house was badly damaged by fire in the 1980s and was demolished. A new house now stands on the site.

Listing Description:
Former blacksmith's house and smithy. 17th century re-modelled in 18th century. Plastered 4-bay timber frame on brick plinth with black pantiled roof. 2 storeys with 3-light metal casements with leaded glazing. Central front door with gabled porch on columns. 18th century hipped roof and central axial stack. Single storeyed brick smithy to side.
