Full Description
October 1983. Cable trench as on (S1).
Context 1.
General scatter throughout trench.
One rim Thetford type jar, one strap handle Thetford Ware, seven bodysherds Thetford Grimston/Thetford or medieval, five bodysherds glazed Grimston, one base glazed Grimston, one stone hone with subrectangular section. Context 2.
Possible wall at west end consisting of unmortared flint, chalk and sandstone.
Context 2 continued.
Concentration at west end near wall.
Nine bodysherds medieval unglazed, one rim medieval unglazed bowl, eleven bodysherds glazed Grimston including two applied strips, one strap handle glazed Grimston, one jar and one bodysherd Grimston with internal and external glazed late medieval or post medieval.

6 July 1986. Site being developed for residential use.
Scraped of vegetation so much bare soil. Footings already in for house at east end. Visit too rapid to identify any concentration but nothing obvious noted.
Context 3.
Base probably Grimston Thetford, base of glazed Grimston (?), Grimston face jug rim, eye only, eight sherds Grimston including four with internal glaze, one medieval unglazed.
