Summary

This timber-framed farmhouse was built in a number of stages. The two bays to the south of the off centre chimney stack are from the 16th century, the bay to the north of the chimney stack is 17th century and the bay to the south of the chimney is late 17th/18th century in date. All of the original windows have been replaced but much of the roof structure remains in the manner it was in when erected.

16th century timber frame clad in brick. Original build two bays to south of off-centre stack, 17th century north of stack, late 17th century or 18th century bay added to south. Windows all replaced. Winding stair by stack. 16th century bays have first floor originally open to queenpost roof of which cambered braces and queenpost mortises remain. Other roofs have collars.
