Summary

Fieldwork in 1983 recovered some medieval and post medieval pottery sherds, as well as a worn limestone spindle whorl.

2 June 1983. Edge of field of growing barley, strip 45cm wide west of track not shown on (S1), but still a right of way and on (S2) and (S3) as main road to Hythe. Few buildings here on (S2).
Four medieval unglazed bodysherds, one bodysherd glazed, possibly Grimston, two stoneware sherds, four glazed red earthenware, two black glazed post medieval. One possible flowerpot.
One spindle whorl, worn, apparently some fine grained limestone. NCM from Norwich Archaeological Rescue Group fieldwork.
