Summary

Metal detecting in this area during 1983 recovered six medieval coins and a part of a medieval purse. One of the coins was of Arnold V of Bradant (1279-1326).

September 1983. Metal detecting. Field behind Mock Mile Terrace.
Found in ploughsoil scattered over area 200m northwest to southeast and 50m northeast to southwest towards east corner of field behind Mock Mile Terrace.
Five medieval silver coins: Edward I Long Cross (HENRICVS) penny; two Edward I Long Cross pennies; Edward III farthing; sterling imitation Arnold V of Bradant AD 1279 to 1326.
Medieval bronze purse swivel.
