Summary

A group of linear and curvilinear ditches is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. Their archaeological significance is uncertain, and they may simply represent late post medieval and modern field boundaries and drains.

The linear and curvilinear ditches described above are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs, in particular (S1)-(S2). Nothing stands out as being of archaeological significance; they appear mainly to represent late post medieval field boundaries depicted on 19th century maps (such as Bergh Apton and Thurton enclosure map (S3)), or drains. Consequently, no features have been mapped by the NMP.
