NHER 19656 (Find Spot record) - Prehistoric worked flint, Neolithic polished axehead, Iron Age and Roman pottery

1969. Found in ploughsoil by [1]. East of White House. Context 2 at TL 722 966.
Complete ground axe and two broken ground axes (one butt end, one cutting end both patinated with faint mottled staining).

23 December 1986. Fenland fieldwalking. Over whole field.
Conditions: weathered soil, some regeneration.
Context 1. General scatter. MTW CM.
Odd Iron Age and ?Roman pottery, occasional flint, also pot boilers at various points.

Context 3 at TL 7226 9662. MTW 82.
Concentration of pot boilers (sparse, locally moderate) on ridge of chalk loam and spreading beyond. 47m northeast to southwest x 31m at 4.6m OD.
