Summary

Black soil containing burnt prehistoric flints was recorded in the side of a newly dredged dyke in 1983. Three flint flakes were found in dredged soil removed from the dyke in 1984.

Black soil with profuse pot boilers resting on peat 4m north to south x minimum 3m east to west.

11 April 1984.
Three flint flakes collected from among calcined flint in weathered upcast from dredging of dyke. Unaffected by heat and not necessarily associated with the pot boilers with which they were found.
