Map

November 1983. Casual Find. Field Observation.
A Neolithic or Bronze Age stone axe hammer was found by [1] when clearing scrub and trees on an uncultivated strip close to stream. The site was visited by J. Wymer (NAU) and F. Healy (NAU). It was impossible to define the exact location of the find as grubbed out trees and bushes had been dragged by machine to the west side of this strip. The object was identified as a large (22cm long, 3.075kg) perforated axe hammer (Class I a/b of Roe, 1979) of coarse, igneous brown rock. It is complete and undamaged.
