Summary

Fieldwalking in 1979 recovered a number of Neolithic/Bronze Age worked flints including a chopping tool, cores, scrapers and blades. One of the objects from this site was subsequently identified as a Mesolithic tranchet adze. Metal-detecting between 2019 and 2020 recovered a Roman pottery sherd; Roman coins; a post-medieval token and a number of other metal objects, including a medieval buckle and a medieval/post-medieval buckle, purse bar, copper alloy vessel leg, copper alloy ring and lead conical standing weight.

Found by [1] (finder's Site No. 115a):
1 Neolithic/Bronze Age chopping tool, 2 cores, 4 scrapers, 4 blades and 1 pick/roughout.
Identified and compiled by A. Lawson (NAU), 19 October 1980.

A selection of the flints from this site (probably only the smaller pieces) were donated to the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1999.1.32.31). One of the core tools recovered was subsequently identified as Mesolithic by R. Jacobi, being described in (S2) as a Hassocks-type tranchet adze.
