Map

Autumn 1979. Fieldwalking.

23 Neolithic/Bronze Age flakes (brown flint), 3 cores, 4 scrapers, 6 blades, 1 borer, 1
?notch.

Information from (S1).

October 1984. Fieldwalking.
Found by [1] (details as above):
Worked flint, brown in colour, found to extend scatter southwards.
Compiled by W. Milligan (NCM), 23 October 1984.

It appears that 3 Mesolithic flint tranchet axeheads were also recovered by [1] in this field. These objects were identifed by R. Jacobi and are described in (S2) as a medium tranchet adze, a small tranchet adze and a Norfolk type adze. The grid reference listed (TG 127 050) places them in this field.
P. Watkins (HES), 13 March 2014.

At least some of the finds from this site were subsequently donated to the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 1999.1.32.35). These are described simply as ""Neolithic worked flints"", so it is unclear exactly which of the above finds these are.
