Summary

An Early Saxon brooch and fragments of Early Saxon pottery found during metal detecting in 1983. In 2009 a Late Saxon harness fitting was recovered.

November 1983. Context 2. Found in ploughsoil with metal detecting at very edge of field, opposite east gatepost of house across road.
Foot and bow fragment of small cruciform brooch.

November 1988.
7 gritty and sandy bodysherds and possible bowl rim in sandy handmade fabric. Probably Early Saxon.
Centred on findspot of brooch, which finder [1] says was at above grid reference, and not [2] as previously marked.
