1982. Probably found in cleared forestry plantation southwest of Red Castle, though finder stated it was found in his garden. Found by member of the public [1].
Coin weight or trial piece, long cross type, Aethelred II 978-1016.

However, area of grid reference indicated by A. Gregory (NAU) was in fact not cleared until 1992, and was still afforested at this time.
