Summary

Fieldwalking from 1983 to 1984 recovered post medieval pottery fragments and kiln furniture, indicating that this was probably a 16th to 17th century pottery production site. Pieces of medieval pottery were also found. Further fieldwalking in 1985 produced more of the same material, together with prehistoric worked flints, a piece of Middle Saxon and a piece of Late Saxon pottery.

Full Description

1983 to 1984 and before. Fieldwalking. Ordnance Survey Fields 361 and 362.
Probable pottery production site for green and red-glazed earthenweare, 16th to 17th century. Medieval sherds also found. See list in file.
