Summary

This 18th century brick house has important early 20th century refurbishing. Built around a U-shaped plan it has two storeys and a cellar and seven bays. There are early 20th century bay windows, door and casements. There is a brick vaulted room in the cellar and a staircase with twisted balusters.

18th century house with important early 20th century refurbishing. Brick, U plan, two storeys and cellar, seven bays. Early 20th century bay windows, door and casements. Bracketed cornice and stepped gables. Downpipes with 'R E P'. Brick vaulted room in cellar. Staircase with twisted balusters. Mr Carus (South Norfolk District Council), notes that the staircase is identical to that in 18 Colegate Norwich, so much so that it must be by the same craftsman.
