Summary

Prior to December 1983 sherds of Early Saxon pottery and cremated human bones were found 'in or near Saxlingham'. The exact location of their discovery is uncertain, although they may have been discovered on the site of Saxlingham's Early Saxon cemetery (NHER 6164).

Sherds of plain urn and three sherds from two urns, another with linear decoration. Cremated bone probably from the plain urn.
