Summary

Fieldwalking in 1984 recovered occasional Roman and medieval pottery sherds, as well as noting a concentration of Roman sherds, bone, fired clay, and some post medieval building rubble in a darker patch of soil on top of a medium rodden.

Context 1 - odd sherds medieval and Roman.
Context 2 at 5343 1555. Scatter Roman sherds, moderate amount bone, no shell, moderate fired clay to abundant, building rubble etc moderate so some post medieval component. 25 x 16m in darker patch of soil on top medium rodden.
