Summary

Fieldwalking in 1984 by the Fenland Survey recovered a general scatter of medieval pottery sherds from the east and western sides of a large central roddon. A large number of Late Saxon pottery sherds were also recovered, as well a concentration of medieval objects that included pottery sherds, bone and shell fragments.

General scatter of medieval pottery divided in Context 1, east of large central roddon, and Context 2, to the west of it.
Context 1: includes thirty-one Late Saxon sherds,
Context 2: has eight Late Saxon sherds.
Context 3 at [1]. Small concentration medieval pottery; bone, shell and pot sparse. Very small amount post medieval material. And quantity of Late Saxon sherds. On edge small roddon. 19 x 14m.
