February 1984 or before. Field north of site of Baynard Hall. Found with metal detecting.
Copper alloy seal matrix, lion and ?branch, lettering illegible but possibly beginning IESVS. Diameter 2cm.
Silver medallet, haloed figure with cross, inscription LAVS TIBI SOLI. Reverse, Haloed figure with kneeling suppliant, inscription SMVL FLAV; in exergue XAO. Diameter 1.2cm.
Four sestertii of Commodus and Antoninus Pius (not seen).
Identified by E. M. James (KLM) 13 February 1984.
