Map

April 1984. Field Observation.
A bank of medium and large angular gravel was observed in the side of a bank on the east side of Holt Road where traffic has eroded soil and turf. The bank measured 17m north to south and had a maximum thickness of 60cm, with a slight gap in middle and a cambered upper surface. The south edge was 21m north of the field boundary on the opposite site of the road. It appears to be a road. The west side of Holt Road and the gravel pit to the west were too overgrown to determine if it continues. However, in a field to the east the surface is generally thick with this sort of flint.
A. Gregory (NAU), 19 April 1984.
