Full Description
8 March 1984. Fenland Fieldwalking. Field of winter wheat.
Context 1: general scatter, medieval sherds mainly from west part field. Some of the material form Context 1 has been reidentified as Roman pottery and one sherd as Late Saxon. (S1).
Context 2: at 5132 1530, concentration medieval pottery 33 x 23m on edge drove. Also great deal more modern material particularly building rubble and post medieval pottery. Bone and shell moderate but may relate to later occupation. Much of scatter on raised area which could be simply redeposited material from dyke clearing. (S2).

Three medieval unglazed sherds, two glazed medieval Grimston ware, three possible late medieval transitional ware sherds, seven Bourne D sherds, four post medieval Glazed Red Earthenware.
