Full Description
26 April 1984. Recently rolled spring barley; very large field.
Context 1 = few scraps only medieval pottery indicating very little medieval manuring.
Context 2 at 5728 1341. Spread late medieval sherds on rodhom adjacent to medieval drove. Pottery, bone moderate; shell abundant. Post medieval pot sparse, so building debris. Site probably quite prolific but recently rolled thus creating fresh surface. Medieval pot may be predominantly early post medieval. On top and east side roddon but does not run up as far as edge of drove. 50 x 50m.
