Summary

Fieldwalking in 1984 by the Fenland Fieldwalking recovered a general scatter of Roman and medieval pottery sherds. A concentration of Roman pottery was also recovered, as well as a separate concentration that included some bone fragments and a little post medieval debris.

21 March 1984. Fenland Fieldwalking. Well weathered plough soil.
Context 1 = general scatter Roman and medieval sherds.
Context 2 at 5531 1463. Scatter sparse Roman pottery 27 x 20m no other material, no staining. On flat ground south of rodam.
Context 3 at 5530 1454. Roman pottery scatter, sparse, only odd fragments bone. Very little post medieval debris. No staining. On south side roddon. 27 x 25m.
